La Trobe University

La Trobe University, like all universities, must publish comprehensive details of the courses available across all their campuses. My job was to convert the undergraduate and postgraduate handbooks for online use. The process previously devised to do this had become outdated and unworkable. Starting with the provided Word documents, I developed a process using a combination of Open Source and custom built tools to convert the 800 odd pages to xhtml.

I have also been involved in build various other sites for La Trobe such as the various sites under the Research Department.

Plan

Plan was the official Goodwill Partner for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. As you might imagine, this was a great honor for them and a period during which they were extreemly busy.

It was my responsibility to maintain the plan website during the games and also to advise on SEO, accessibility and a total redesign of their site which should be launching soon.

RACV

RACV was in need of a new customer management system for use across their entire sales and service teams. The system enables RACV staff to gain an integrated view of all the products a single customer has purchased including home and car insurance, loans, membership renewals and merchandise.

This project was undertaken by The Hiser Group, experts in usability and user-centred design. I came into the project as a freelancer for interface design and user testing sessions.
