La Trobe University

La Trobe Handbook 2007La Trobe University, like all universities, must publish comprehensive details of the courses available across all their campuses. My job was to convert the undergraduate and postgraduate handbooks for online use. The process previously devised to do this had become outdated and unworkable. Starting with the provided Word documents, I developed a process using a combination of Open Source and custom built tools to convert the 800 odd pages to xhtml.

La Trobe Handbook 2007I have also been involved in build various other sites for La Trobe such as the various sites under the Research Department.

Plan

Plan.org.au home pagePlan was the official Goodwill Partner for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. As you might imagine, this was a great honor for them and a period during which they were extreemly busy.

It was my responsibility to maintain the plan website during the games and also to advise on SEO, accessibility and a total redesign of their site which should be launching soon.

RACV

RACV Single Customer ViewRACV was in need of a new customer management system for use across their entire sales and service teams. The system enables RACV staff to gain an integrated view of all the products a single customer has purchased including home and car insurance, loans, membership renewals and merchandise.

This project was undertaken by The Hiser Group, experts in usability and user-centred design. I came into the project as a freelancer for interface design and user testing sessions.

Cofield Wines

Cofield Wines screenshotCofield Wines really wanted a site that emphasised the family nature of the business and their dedication to wine making. There is a great wealth of knowledge and experience between the family members. The idea was to extend their identity by using a very dynamic photo of the family in a relaxed, friendly attitude and set it in a reduced colour pallete. This would create the feeling of history and experience while creating an effective colour palette to use throughout the site.

Cofield Wines brochureThe Cofield Wines new identity had to be extended across other media too. We addapted the style to suit paper based mediums and applied it to this brochure.

The Alumni

The Alumni screenshotThe Alumni was designed to appeal to elite executives and their personal assistants. Those who are time poor but money rich!

The Alumni business cardThe business card had to be really slick. Printed on metalic stock with fine pinstripping, the aim was to hint at the fine linework used on real money.
