La Trobe University

La Trobe University, like all universities, must publish comprehensive details of the courses available across all their campuses. My job was to convert the undergraduate and postgraduate handbooks for online use. The process previously devised to do this took 2-3 people 12 weeks to complete. Starting with the provided Word documents, I developed a process using a combination of Open Source and custom built tools to convert the 800 odd pages to xhtml in less than 2 weeks.

I have also been involved in building various other sites for La Trobe such as the sites under the Research Department.
