RE-ENTITY DESIGN

日本語

Introducing design transparency. In order to ensure top quality web design to my clients, I have created this public forum where I invite critical examination of my work from any and all. As this site is visited by designers from across the globe, there is no escape from a job half done at RE-ENTITY DESIGN.

Criticism Wanted!

Well, it's been a long time coming...and there's still more to do! But I'm very pleased to finally release RE-ENTITY DESIGN v4.

I hope you find the new format and focus interesting and rewarding. As time goes on I'll keep you up to date with how the new site has performed.

Meanwhile, I invite you to comment and criticise my work to your hearts content. I am looking forward to the remarks of my peers and customers. Feel free to add your name to your post or to leave it anonymous. I am especially interested in comments on W3C compliance, accessibility and best practices.

Unfortunately, this site doesn't validate as there are some things Blogger won't allow me to modify. I am looking to transfer to another blogging service once I have found a suitable alternative.

For the time being, my old site is still available here. I will eventually integrate the content into the new format.

Hi Stuart. Congrats on the new site, it's a nice clean layout.

I noticed a few warnings in the HTML validator but those might be due to Blogger so wouldn't worry about them too much.

On the design side I'd recommend using a logo to make the site more distinctive. As is it looks a lot like a default Blogger template which doesn't convey the cool stuff you're capable of. Changing the banner graphic would also help, it just doesn't grab me. Also, it contains a conflict between the style and the content, subdued monotone vs a energetic tornado (if that's what it is).

Why are you hiding your best work? I like the Cofield design. I'd bring a splash of that Cofield color to the home page, give 'em a taste of what Re-entity can do.

Nice work, a lot of good stuff in there.

Thanks for your comments Nigel. I'm glad you like it.

I disagree that there is a conflict in style. The site is intended to appear authoritative, yet ordered and pleasing. Calm within the storm you could say.

There will be a listing here for the Colfield Wines web site soon.

Good on ya mate! (Sorry. It's just my sister moved from NZ to Aussie 2 weeks ago so I'm practising.)
